I am so very sorry for your loss...and so very happy for the 'gain' of friendship that Ellie has found with Jill's chickens. I don't know you and I wasn't even on the forum when your original story began. I am so glad you posted this most recent update, because I never (ever) would have found it had you not, and it is a very touching, and horribly sad, and very happy story. You know that cry you sometimes get when you hiccup and sort of breathe in "lurches"? That's what your story did to me, it was so heartfelt. Sometimes we all need a little dose of real humanity...I got that by reading your story. Thank you for sharing with us. This is one of those stories that I will never forget. Once again though...I truly am so very sorry for your loss.
One year later....so good to know that Ellie has refound happiness and friendship. Your loss will remain, but I hope the feeling eventually changes to warm, cherished memories instead of merely pain. It happened to me, I want it to happen for you too.
