Our heroine is coming up with a solution for her garaged serama's, keeping the peace with the DH aka Nancy naysayer and working towards her goal of showing chickens & showing him.

One thing I did notice about my own personal Nancy negative. When it came to me building something for my chickens... he was up my butt about materials. I am a reuse & recycle gal so am naturally scrounging stuff. But when he volunteered to help or build me something he purchased what was needed and then some... Men!!!? Yes, but I also now appeal to his ego. Lots of compliments on his work. So when he sees me scrounging he will jump in faster so he can get what he wants and the credit. I'm like ok. Save me the sweat. Great! ♡♡♡ I'll go make you lunch (and dinner etc, clean toilet.... )

Last time we got snow here was 2 days ago

Yesterday it was rain... Normally I am hip deep in snow and cold... Now I am hip deep in mud

...now all that mud froze solid like cement, in all it ankle roller rutted glory from where the horses punch through the ground.

My chickens are mad at me because it's cold hahaha

I lived in Colorado for a few years. You make me not miss it at all.

Well, I did get some chicken hand towels that are very pretty. They will look fabulous up at my happy place- cabin, with my chicken dishes.
I got some pricey seat covers and wethertechs for my cute little older truck. I'm pretty happy about that (even though I don't drive much lol). I should probably get a chicken bumpersticker to keep up with the BYC crowd ♡

Yep I need a bumper sticker too, something witty like, I don't care if u don't like my driving, my chickens do and that's all that matters...

I lived in Colorado for a few years. You make me not miss it at all.
I do miss the first snow and the cool hats, scarves and jackets.. but that is it.

I miss just jumping into a pair of shorts and tank top before heading to the barn. These days it's two pairs of slacks, 3 tops, jacket, hat, scarf, boots.... Then u realize u need to piddle off comes all that clothes.....

Only 5 months till shorts weather!!

My chickens love my boots though! They pick all the snow and mud and manure off them

Yep I need a bumper sticker too, something witty like, I don't care if u don't like my driving, my chickens do and that's all that matters...

They have some cute ones. I opted for Etsy and a simple one but ordered a few so I could mail to a couple chicken pals. Makes the whole $3. For shipping a little more worth it.

I realized my comment sounded rude. Sorry. I was specifically replying to remembering the frozen mud, black ice, freeze blowing through any cracks it could find- window, door or other.

I do miss the wide open spaces ♡♡ it was a total trip driving from one state to the other.
My view now is mountain or ocean... not bad, not complaining... just less grand? Big??

Not at all, I enjoy hearing of others' weather, it a huge topic here in Ontario hahahahaha. I sometimes swear if it wasn't for weather none of us would have anything to talk about!!!!!

Even the chooks sqwaking about the weather I tell them 'Listen sister, I don't control the weather, I can barely control you!'... They just give me the evil chicken eye and stalk off to get up to some trouble in the barn!
