Awesome cool you work from home. I thought you were an early retired EMT.
What is it you do now?
I am an EMT, but currently only doing volunteer jobs. The service I worked for was on 24hr shifts and I was working 96hrs a week. Something happened recently that almost took my life. When it didn’t, I re-evaluated my priorities. At the top of my list was being present for my kids. I couldn’t do that when I was asleep the whole time I was home. I may go back to the ambulance in a few years when all my kids have graduated. I planned to leave the ambulance service and go to a clinic or hospital but an opportunity presented that would allow me to work from home so I took it. I currently work for the state processing complex income tax returns. My background before going into the medical field was in accounting so it suitable employment for now. I get to attend all my kids sporting events, concerts and everything else they’re involved in. I really miss the ambulance, but being there for these things is more important.

Well, while you farmers are slipping and sliding and becoming human granola bars, here in the Aloha State we have IMO the finest weather of our fine weather. I love winters here but please don't pack up and come. We are getting inundated with people relocating, driving our home prices and our covid #s through the roof.
So, I am forced (lol) to stay home and obsess about my chickens as we are lucky enough to have all of our needed supplies.
May sell, think I have vetted a buyer I should say, Bolt and Ka'ahumanu plus a L.Brahma pullet and cockerel. The trade for not hatching a bunch of eggs possibly. It's a hard thinning but I know we will be, and they may be better off for it. We'll, won't know for a few weeks as I want to get young ones past their fowl pox with no new stress.View attachment 2955924View attachment 2955925View attachment 2955930View attachment 2955938
K. Thead bump. :caf
It was -28C this morning... Very painfully cold, I think the horses and chickens did better than I did... Not a fan of winter, if I win the lottery I am moving to Florida hahaha 😁 Hawai'i is too far to travel to!.... Maybe for a visit I will go when I win that lottery 😄
