Black Ameraucana Pullet?!

6 weeks old, and this baby has me stumped... Comb is very red, but I don't see much wattle? I've heard that with pea combs a single row means pullet, and also heard that that is crap. We don't know for sure that this baby is 100% Ameraucana. Could be an EE...? Egg she hatched from was blue, but that probably doesn't mean much... Anyway.... Here are her glamor shots. She hates the camera...

Yes the rows in the comb to tell gender is crap. She looks pullet so far but update in 2 weeks please

It looks like a cockerel so far to me but I do agree that counting rows on combs isn't an accurate method of sexing

I will try to remember to! My kids named this one Popeye... To go with our EE who is named Olive Oil. Lol. I would hate for Popeye to be freezer bound, but we are full up of roos!

Is it just the color of the comb that indicates cockerel? Or is there some feather magic you know? I'm terrible at spotting feather info early on...

I'm looking at comb redness, size and essentially being "built-up."
