As far as leg color is concerned, I noticed on the first AM chicks I hatched out they had some pink areas on their toes that eventually became slate. If the legs wind up looking greenish, you definitely have EE's. Pure AM's can lay green eggs, it depends on how good the breeding is. Of course better breeding, blue eggs. You can on occasion wind up with a straight comb in other breeds that have a rose comb. I know rose is dominant over straight but if both parents carry the recessive gene and the baby winds up with two copies then you wind up with a straight comb. I haven't heard of that in the pea combs though. Sorry to wander off topic, I find the genetics fascinating and wished I knew more.
