Black and Partridge Cochins

I bought some beautiful Black and Partridge Cochins in May 2020
I am looking to get some info on them, when do they start laying, breeding etc.
I know its a couple years before their full grown.
They are such beautiful fun birds I can't wait to see them thrive as they all love to do
tricks for treats. They seem to grow in spurts. A few of the Partridge hens don't seem
to be getting as big as the rest.

Well, the two front black ones are boys I think, but they are gorgeous chickens.
I don't think they they're full cochin, the legs looks too long. And the body shape doesn't look right. But they could be in that teenage geeky stage.

None of them look partridge to me....

They definitely are in that goofy stage. I bought them two day old from McMurray hatchery in May 2020.

out of 10 Black Cochin 6 roo's and 4 hens.! The 10 Partridge was 8 hens and 2 roo's. go fiqure..lol

Then they're purebred, McMurray is not known for having fence hoping.
Poor chickens in their goofy teenage stage, it took 14 years for me to escape that stage.

Cochins are very slow to mature. Average is around 8 months, but it is not uncommon for them to start laying a bit before or after that.

I've had one wait 11 months.
