Black Asian?? Cockel or pullet??

I biught this little one from a local farm store from a straight run group. I was told that it is a Black Asian but all pictures of this breed do not look like what I have. I am also wondering if I may have a cockerel. I haven't heard any crowing (baby crowing) yet. Any ideas what I have?

I don't think Black Asian chickens are barred, check the back of the chickens feather to see if its a cockerel it will have saddle feathers.

Looks like Barred Rock or perhaps Black Sexlink.
(Black Sexlinks have black pullets, but barred cockerels.)

Thank you, I will have to keep an eye out. So far, I am not seeing any saddled feathers. I guess a little more research is needed. Is it possible that TSC got the chicks mixed up?

Tsc staff don't know chick breeds very well, so the mix up happen more often than you think.

It's more than possible, it's highly likely. There are probably 100's of threads here about this.

Dominique have rose combs, this chicken has a single comb, so probably Barred Rock.

Oh yes they mix up the breeds and genders often. Lol i have 3 boys in my all female flock thanks to them. I have an Asian and she looks nothing like that. But it is a very pretty birdy.
