We free range Black Astros and White Rocks along with many Guineas. One of the astros has a severely swollen chest, she keeps her head held back behind it and has a white clotted vent. She is lethargic but has been hanging in there for a number of days. She will move about but seems to be unaware of her surroundings. I have not seen her eat even when amongst the others while they do. Your earliest response is appreciated. Paul, Itchipep Farm

You need to intervene immediately. Once they're unresponsive it may already be too late.

Separate her from the others.

Smell her beak - does it smell bad? It could be sour crop or an impacted crop.

If you think that's what it is, please use the search feature on those terms to find out how to treat it.
