Awesome! I’ll get the pics off my camera week by week to let y’all see for sure what you think. This one does stand like a young cockerel which concerns me.
Heres one of my pullets at 5 weeks.

Pullet or cockerel? Please comment what you think, been thinking cockerel planning on trading for a pullet next week but I sure don't want to trade if this is a pullet! The votes on this poll are conflicted now so please comment your opinions. ;)

Im sorry, but i think cockerel. Those wattles are still getting quite bigger as time has gone on. Id let him go to your friend and do the trade so he can get settled in and started on forming bonds within his new flock throughout the summer.

Thank you! I’ve thought cockerel all along, and I’m just glad I’ve got a place for him to go!

Okay good news then! I had 8 people vote cockerel when I originally posted this so I had no hope of this being a pullet.
I read/hear a lot of stories on here about owners getting rid of they're chicks online to find out that people voted 9/10 Cockrel but in fact it was a pullet. Always best to wait it out. I myself go crazy trying to play the guessing game. Time will tell.

Also looks like a pullet in my opinion. Different breeds develop differently 😁

I go crazy playing the guessing game too! If I didn’t have a rooster already I’d wait this one out for sure! I just don’t want my roo to fight with him.

Looks just like my little Sydney. I was convinced it was a roo for the longest time. She had early comb & waddle development but they stayed small. Still super small but starting to turn dark red now that she’s 16 weeks. She’s also starting to nest so I should see eggs from her soon. My for sure rooster has been trying to mount her last 2 days but she’s not receptive yet. All my austrlorps had early development of comb & waddles. However, they stayed small. Didn’t get bigger.
I’m thinking you’ve got a little pullet there. Not a rooster.
