Hello folks, new here, got my first batch of chicks at the end of March from a local breeder, at 5 weeks I’m beginning to suspect that my Black Australorp may be a cockerel. They have developed a more pronounced comb and are the most bold and dominate of the tiny flock.
I am completely inexperienced at chickening so I dont really know if I’m jumping the gun on this one.
The breeder offers a guarantee on hens, and I can exchange the roo if it turns out to be one, and I would love to do that as early as possible.
Here are a few photos of them. Any thoughts?
