Black Australorp hybrid??

Do all pure black australorps have black eyes?

Also, i have been putting a purebred black australorp rooster on her and the chicks i hatch in the incubator are mainly black but occassionally there is a brown one.

Not all Black Australorps have black eyes, but they all have dark eyes and black is the preferable color. If you are getting an occasional brown chick that means either your hen or your rooster one has something other than pure Black Australorp somewhere in its background. This kind of thing sometimes happens with hatchery quality breeds.

Eye color for a Australorp should be Black or Brown but Black is preferred.
Also the Legs should be Black with the bottom of the feet and the toe nails being White.

As I said before at best the bird in question is a hatchery quality Australorp, and if so the chances are very good that the bird carries Mediterranean blood in it making it a cross breed or a hybrid fowl much like a sex-link or a Production Red is a hybrid fowl.

Hy·brid
hīˌbrid/

The offspring of two plants or animals of different species or varieties, such as a mule (a hybrid of a donkey and a horse). In biology a hybrid is an offspring of two animals or plants of different races, breeds, varieties, species, or genera.

In todays poultry world the term Hybrid and Crossbred mean much the same, Only real difference between the two being that a Hybrid breeding has a set outcome. With hatcheries that set outcome is sexing the chick at birth and increased egg production.
