I have two Black Australorps, who are around 4 weeks old and I am 90% positive one is a roo. We took them outside for the first time today to enjoy the sun and was also able to get a pretty good headshot.

Sorry these two are so blurry but I was trying to get a good look at the comb. I cant tell if its pinking up, and I also swear Im seeing waddles...

Anyone? Or do I need better pics? Just don't want to get too attached to her if I can't keep him :/

There are definite tail feathers but I don't think anymore than the others. I'm just curious because my other BA has maybe a teeny tiny comb if any.

I usually find that roos have very slow feather growth, especially in the tail area. Sometimes you'll get a girl that throws in a rather tall comb, I had this with a few of my pullets, so as long as that comb stays either yellow or peach, you should be fine. If it gets really pink or red, with wattles, then it will probably be a boy.
