Black Australorps?

I love my Australorps! My rooster isn't mean at all. He easily clears our 4 foot fence, too. Let me know if the 5 ft. fence works.

Australorps seem to be willing to stay out later in the evening than the other breeds. Maybe their black eyes gather light better

my australorps will keep the orpingtons out and about until well into dusk,
they seem to dictate when its night coop time​

I was told Aussies were economical eaters and so were Red Stars. I'm not sure what that means since I go through a 50 lb. bag of feed every month and a half, and they free range on top of that. I have 2 aussies and 4 Golden Buff/Red Stars. The Stars are supposed to be economical as well but again, that seems like a lot of feed for just 6 girls.
