Black Austrolorp × Buff Orpington roo

Having seen having seen online photographs of black Australorp cross buff orpington the long feathers on the back neck and flanks that are similarly colored to buff orpingtons and in fact orpington roo are the only breed that I have seen having the long feathers on the neck back and flanks. Also he is so much heavier and taller and more muscular than is dad lol. Thoughts thank you

Yellow legs means no Orpington or Australorp in his recent ancestry. The white skin of those breeds is a dominant trait.

Well the austrolorp roo came from a hatchery that was selling hatching eggs and they were all supposed to be black Australorp. The roo pictured in there with the bright plumage was one of his offsprings that I can't account for any crosses that the parent might have had nor can I account for any crosses the mother may have had but the only hens I have that would account even remotely for The Coloring that you see are Rhode Island Reds ,buff orpingtons or speckled Sussex. I don't see speckled Sussex anywhere in him he is so much bigger than any Sussex I've ever seen I don't remember what a Rhode Island Red rooster looks like in recent memory. But with what I've supplied you with the only birds that were available for what is called a black Australorp roo, and the only hens available that could possibly have supplied the genetic material kind of limits the gene pool so I don't know if it's not orpington if it's not Rhode Island red if it's not black Australorp I can only tell you what the breeder told me the Daddy was.

Can you post a pic of your supposed Australorp? Sussex is also ruled out due to the fact that they are also a white skinned breed.

What roosters did you have at that time? What hens? Can you give the full lineup? He looks like a Birchen crossed to something with gold, or brown red crossed to something with silver. Nothing about him looks like a Buff Orpington crossed to an Australorp.

Only hens are black austrolorp, speckled Sussex, barred rock. Rhode island red and white Brahman and the only breeding rooster is black ausrolorp so said the breeder

Can you post a picture of the Australorp rooster? For various reasons, it could be the Rhode Island Red or Barred Plymouth Rock.
