black beak

My 1 year old EE roo's top part of his beak is turning black. What could this be from? Am I going to have to cull him?

He had his beak clipped when I got him...it was not black
He is still eating and drinking

One night he got out of his pen (still don't know how it happened) and I know he fought with my Game roo.

any opinions will be appreciated.

Could his beak just be growing back? I THINK they can grow back if not severely clipped. He doesn't look unhealthy to me. Id say keep an eye on him to make sure he's eating, drinking and pooping normally. Not sure what else you could do at this point. Good luck!

I didn't think they could grow back. I have never had a chicken with a clipped beak.
