Crowing
Maybe the roo’s are a mix… I see the comb doesn’t look walnut. I’ve heard of single combs in silkies, but never this type of comb.

Ok! I’m not trying to judge them, they are pretty boys, but I’m trying to figure out the chick mystery! They aren’t breeding quality just Tractor Supply Roos so not great breeding.
Hard to tell in the photo, but looks like it may be black with some brown on the face?5 little black toes too.
Do you have a picture of the welsummers? No other hen lays eggs like that? Any new pictures of the chick? You and me both! Lol I mean I don’t have a lot of different breed hens so i know who the mom is, and the dad is only one of the two Roos. But the black threw me off. The other Welsummers chics are different looking. I’ll post a picture tomorrow. This guy came out of this egg… I’ll post a pick. The chic is adorable though.
Ill attach some pics… there are 2 hens that are probably the “mothers” but they don’t lay those dark eggs… unless they did and the toner is running out…. I’ll post pics of the big hens and now chic. The chic picks aren’t great, they are in a separate outside coop in the big coop but away from the bigger chickens. Everyone has feathered legsDo you have a picture of the welsummers?
