I have a black chic that is from a Welsummer hen and tan/white Silkie Roo. I’m new to all this but I’m surprised. I’m not sure where the black came from? Am I crazy?

Thank you. All this is new so I’m very curious.Im not great at this... but I think the roo has recessive white. The white covered up the rest of his genes. I'll tag a couple experts: @RoostersAreAwesome @NatJ
The father should be the mix white/tan but there was another tan Silkie and here’s their pics. Hen is a regular WelliDo you have a picture of the parents? Recessive whites are always solid white, so I don’t think that is the case for your rooster.
