How many eggs did you set you nutball?

I gave her 7 but I think the last few weren’t fertile or quit. She went broody and I decided to not break her and well...

She’s been such a good mother so far. She has 4 chicks right now and I don’t think the others will hatch but idk.

I crossed an Easter egger male with a whole bunch of different color breeds and 4/7 chicks are black or mostly black, so I am wondering about this too. Either way, congrats on the babies! Looking forward to pics.

Really!? So fascinating!!! My rooster is the LO and the mother is like a blue/lavender base with gold over it so I was sure I’d get gold or blue and thanks!

Thanks!! I think they are adorable too!!! They keep pecking poor mama’s eyes though

And yeah I think I read Leghorn mixes will usually always end up white lol
