wow good timing she has laid yesterday for the first time small green eggs, i am so proud of her. was hanging fire on letting you guys know till i get me camera back, wanted to show u how awesome she looks. next couple of days i will post pic.

I think that with many varieties of chickens I'm just going to have to wait and see if it lays before I can tell if it's a hen or not...especially if they are crosses of unknown parentage.

I have a couple of cuckoo marans hens that are in with my blue red araucana cockerel. Would the chicks from this crossing be sex links? I want to produce some green eggs too!

Dunno if anyone cares but she went broody today and is sitting on an 8 egg clutch,is that rare for a bird less than a year old

How old is she? Some will go broody around 8 months to 1 year- good luck with the chicks!

Yea she's around eight month and given me a crash course in chicken husbandry.
