Black Copper Maran sex-link?

I have been planning to get a quality strain of Delawares soon. My better half really wants me to get some Black Copper Marans. While doing some research it seems like the BCM roo over a DEL hen would create sex-link chicks. Does anyone know this to be true?

I've searched the sex-link information thread and Marans are not listed on the main post. Doing a search of the entire thread did not turn up an answer in the first several pages.

I would be more inclined to get the Black Copper Marans if they sex-linked with the Dels. Thanks!

i think the only Marans that you can use for sex-linked chicks are Cuckoo hens.

A black copper marans roo over cuckoo marans hen or any other barred hen ( like barred rock) will give you sexlinks.
If you want to get sexlinks from your Delaware hen, you need a Rhode Island Red roo

That is similar to how some of the hatcheries make a "marans sex link" but instead of the dominque hen they use a cuckoo marans hen. I don't know if the rose comb of the dominique would be sex linked though, maybe that's a bonus to the barring gene that the dom hens have.
