Hey y’all, so I just hatched chicks from my bcm Roo and americauna hen. What are the chances that I will get an olive egg. The americauna lays blue. I’ve attached pics of my Roo, the hen and the chicks for reference. TIA

I think there’s a really good chance they’ll lay olive eggs. However the unknown is how dark or light those “olive” eggs will be. Some may be more green than olive. The waiting will be very suspenseful for me

you’ll have to keep us updated! I know the first ones will be darker and later in the season they run out of toner at least that’s how it is with mine.

Since "Americauna" are "easter eggers" each daughter will have a 50% chance of laying a green or "olive" egg and 50% chance of brown, shade will depends on the genes the father has.
