Whelllll some good news and some bad.....thank you everyone!! I'm not supposed to keep roos.....i would love love love to have one maybe she/he will continue to be super quiet and nobody will have a cow!! It has been a year of boys for me. And yep, that is a cockerel too, is it a cream leg bar? It is very common for chickens to be shown, basically you just put them in a cage on a table for a judge to come by and see. Then you come back and see how they did and if you won anything. Simpler than any other animal show really lol.
Yea is been a year from h*ll!! We lost our girls to a racoon March of this year and ever since we can't catch a break!! Lol bought 2 ameraucanas they were sick and not ameraucana very pretty EEs....the horrible hatch of Marans all with brachydactyly and now half possibly 3/4th the flock is male...sorry to melt down...reality sunk in

Yeah we have had awful luck this year. Out of every hatch almost all have been males. We have like 20 little roos..![]()

And try not to think too hard about all the downs, usually those darned things come in a group. I lost a 6 week old splash ameraucana chick, a gorgeous english black orpington, and ended up with a case of scaly legs all in the same weekYea is been a year from h*ll!!
