Is there any way we can find out "FOR SURE" what the thinking is about white toe feathers ? ? ?

The white undercoat / fluff is a fault.
The white in wing or Tail feathers is a DQ. . . ..

I can not imagine ( although I am hopeful because my favorite roo does have a couple of white toe feathers) that white would be acceptable on a BCM anywhere. . . .. . Is there someone IN THE KNOW that we could contact and find out FOR SURE ? ? ?

Hi

White feathers on the toes is not a DQ, the bird might lose points but it's not a DQ.

Bev

I have 11 BCM eggs that are due to hatch tomorrow!! They are Davis/Wade lines. I just hope the gentleman I got them off of gets his issue resolved soon. Someone has been stealing his eggs when he is gone. Not sure who it is but it is someone close to/in Fort Wayne Indiana. It started after he sent eggs to CA and he won 1st place. Heads up when making a purchase peeps. I hate seeing someone making money off of someone else.

Bev, the only thing I could find on the white toe feathering on Black is on the Black Langshan and it say there is to be no deduction for white toe feathering. I ask walt for an interpretation of the SOP and the Standards committee.

Why would someone want to steal eggs when they could just take the fowl ?

Good point Don. I thought we had eggeaters or someone taking eggs last summer. Turns out there was a huge blacksnake coming to eat eggs. We never saw him because he would slither in through the fence up high where the wire was wider and then back out the same way. We only caught it when it ate so many it couldn't hardly move and got stuck lol. You could see all the egg bumps in him. He must of been about 4 1/2 ft long. We relocated him to another part of the property and he didn't come back.

Depends on the latch. Raccoons are very good with thier hands. Not to be argumentative or anything but I know people who use paddlocks here in FL due to raccoons.

See that lock?

Color help please. I know the blue copper is a dilute of the black copper. What happens when you breed blue copper with the blue copper? I think I remember seeing that it can throw a different color but not sure.

I should be getting my shipment of blue coppers soon.
