X2 but Karen's points are very good measures to watch by. I like his color and his feet. Pink in the feet is hormonal not a DQ.
I have news: one of my Marans is FINALLY LAYING! I was treating them all with Frontline just this week and thought, "whoa, that's a large vent" on this one girl. (thankfully she wasn't offended in the least.) I knew I would see an egg soon. Well, it was today and the size is great. The pullet egg is just as large as my comet eggs. The color is okay so far but not set. I am going to let the eggs go for a bit and then see where they land on the chart. It was a great day for eggs here despite the ferocious wind.
