Out of 17 chicks she is the friendliest chick I think I ever had. If I stick my hand in the brooder she comes running and jumps right on my arm. All the rest run for there lives. HAHAHA I dont raise lap chickens but I think this is so awesome. LOL She the only one I take out to the yard. She follows me around like a dog. Hell better. LOL

Such a cutie! I didn't raise my from chicks and they're super flighty. wish they at least didn't act like they think I'm planning to butcher them! Here's pics of my two hens.

That can all change when she gets older. I use to have Delawares that when they were chucks they were all over you. But when they got older they wont come near you unless you had food. Just chickens. Don't ever let that bother you. To them everybody is a predator. With good reason. LOL.

I guess at least they're good free rangers that way. Too spooky to get killed very quick!

That may not be a good thing. Marans should have some white on the face and wings at that age. I don't know the genetics behind it but when you hatch chicks you want some white on the face and wings. That white tends to indicate some copper. If you have an all black chicks it is probably over melanized and will be all black looking grown.
