so self-blue -meaning you can breed it true to lavender with parents carrying the SB gene in right combo?
and blue meaning you have to have a black parent ?
But as far as the visible color - I don't see a difference - given that roos have hackles and such that come out a different color ??? So that to breed true - we have to know which type of "blue" ?
So for ME - not breeding - I know the distinction is only of genetics and not of visually expressed color ??? Like I would say " She has pretty hazel eyes" and not care about her parent's eye color ??? Which could be any mix that a genetic doctor may designate different "types" of hazel color ????
Or am I not seeing the distinction in visual color due to pictures and screen issues ?
