Does anyone know if this BCM is a rooster? He or she is 4 months old. I'm pretty sure it's a roo but was expecting more rooster plumage by now. And the pick below is the one I think is a rooster with a hen for comparison. Thanks for any help, I'm hoping he turns out to be a roo

I honestly can't tell... It looks more like a hen to me.

This is a Pullet at point of lay, from what I see she looks real good,

Mine is by no means a quality rooster... but I can post a picture of my roos as young as 12 weeks looking very different than the pullets.



The combs make it really obvious at a certain age.

Seeing a picture of your rooster makes me see why mine must be a hen. I had ordered 2 hens and 1 roo of the marans, but one had to be put down. I was just hoping it wasn't the rooster I lost. On the bright side I will get more chocolate coloured eggs. Thanks again
