I will be able to let everyone know if that is true. We had a power outage 2 weeks ago for 5 hourse when the outside temps were -10 degrees F.
My incubator got down to 60 for about 3 hours. I had eggs in it that were 2 weeks into incubation and 1 week.
OUt of the 2 weeks olds that hatched last Sunday, about 2/3 of them did hatch, but the funny things is, all the Ameraucanas had trouble, and after hatch, eventually died.
The Marans mostly lived, 1 died, I think it was trampled.
Anyway, the week old eggs didn't fare so well, and I had to toss half of them. They are due this Sunday, so will see what happens.
So, I will know in a month or so, if I have mostly roosters...becuase of the temp drop.
