I gave you my opinion and ONLY my opinion. IT is NOT WORTH MUCH, so don't take it too seriously. There are some fine folks on here with MEGA more experience than me AND hopefully they will join in here and correct me where I wrongly stated my opinion!

You do not like these boys and want to cull them all - - - correct?
You just want us to tell you that you have not judged them wrong - correct? ?

Mathace --- any critique would help good or bad..........these are just a few of the boys and I am so novice, sort of clueless

Hearing that there is a shortage of "good" roo's, I hate to put a good one in the soup pot due to my ignorance, maybe someone can use them if I can't, my plan is to keep the two best out of the nine if I can figure out the best ones. Just trying to narrow it down a bit.................
I have 8 boys (none are 8 weeks old), they are all 16 weeks old and I also posted the picture of the now 26 week old (pink legs, ever so slightly slate and no feathers).

Is the roo in the background of the second picture one of the four you want to cull ? ?

If he is worth letting grow out, I like the looks of him.

I do have some others I like, these were the ones I figured were the best candidates for culls.........They currently free range all daylight hours with my mixed flock so it is a project and a half to get good pics........

Thank-you, Thank-you!!! Trust me, you know way more than me

oops, my bad on the age error.
I think you have a good eye so far. These would be the ones that I would CROSS OFF the keeper list.

I do like him and would like to see some better shots of him! Maybe you can get us some pictures of you other ones BEFORE you send # 4 to the soup pot. You should never be totally roo- less. At this moment, I think I have more roos than hens.

So, One roo has been eliminated . . . . That leaves 7 more to work our way through during the next month. I would like to get down to 3 cockerels by the middle of April.

LOTS of combs to work our way through, but I am soooooo sure we can do it - - - (" We" being my BYC family)!
To start with, I like the one on the right MORE Than the one on the left - - - BECAUSE I like Big Butts!

I REALLY LIKE THIS BLUE TOO. His Comb is not great, but he is one of the biggest ones AND he is the first to come and greet me.

HERE are some of the other cockerels . . . . ..

I like bachelor #4.....I think he is going to be nice. Do you have another photo of him, a full on side shot? I'm interested in looking at his chest profile. The color of his legs is good. Eye color in the photos looks a tad light, but I also know how hard it is to get colors to portray accurately in photo's. This is my favorite cockerel out of all of them and the one that I would keep to see how he matures.

You are going to have some fun trying to choose who is going to stay and who is going to go. Looks like you have some nice hopefuls there. That Blue pullets lacing is superb, you can pack her up and send her straight over to Auntie Pink.

I love both of those girls' heads. Nice Marans heads.

And look at all the hackle color happening.
