Black Copper Marans eggs hatching a yellow chick?????

From what I understand all of the lines in the US have had wheatens crossed into them at some point in time. Homozygous Black Copper Marans with the recessive eWh gene. Two will produce 25% Black Copper. 50 % BC/Wheat and 25 % True Wheat.

My wheaten died! His intestines were all over the place when I checked on them about 60 minutes ago. It was horrible. Blood and guts everywhere. Nothing in this forum has pictures as graphic as what this chick experienced. He appeared to hatch healthy, which was about 6pm. I've been checking on them every 30 minutes or so. I had to clean up the explosion that was on the other eggs and all over the incubator. Now, I am worried, the other chicks will not hatch healthy.
I haven't had much luck with an incubator. Ms. Blackie, my broody is much better. But I had 40 eggs...darn!
