Black Copper Marans "pullets"?

We just grew out chicks and they are 8 months old now. We notice that the bulk of the body structure & weight came at about 7-8m. We even had a hen that we thought was the "runt" suprise us by filling out, at what felt like, overnight. However, their color & combs were pretty well established by the 5 m. mark. My daughter showed the 3 of them at the Stockton, Ca PPBA-NBA 2013 show and placed with one. Here's her web info, if you're interested. http://gabeyssmartchicks.weebly.com/index.html

I have two Black Copper Marans. Could some one please tell me if they are pullets or rooster? I was told they are pullets when I got them. They are 5 to 6 months old. Also any comments to there coloring and to let me know how good they look would be good as well .

I don't agree with silver fox . I have a friend that had the same situation. .. They were hens. Stay positive !

ok that's your choice

but I have bred enough French coppers to tell them apart by now

but again every one has an opinion and every right to express it :)

chin up and although I say Roos hope they are Pullets for you

Oh ok so I know they are in fact both roo's they are now 7 months old and I am so darn mad LOL... I only have one hen haha. she is a Buff ophington and now I have two darn expencive BCM. Now the one in the front of the pic is roosting so loud lol. It will not allow the other roo to make his roosting noice so he makes a horn like sound. Lately they have been having show downs so Im not shure why this is. They look at each other and then stomp each other then lay down with each other. My poor little pumpkin is all alone with two males omg I was looking forward to there eggs. But I have another question girls, So if I have two roos and one hen is this ok? and will the roos try to mate with my bo? I am worried that they will hurt her. Should I get rid of one of the roos? Thanks
