That's GREAT news! Please keep us posted as to their progress.
Also if you find a candler that can penetrate those dark shells, I'd like to know about it.

So far all I can see into is my lighter ones, to detect the embryo, and the darkest ones I can barely detect the air cell, which if it has one at least tells me someone is home in there or WAS home.

...speaking of candling, this is what I'm used to seeing with my little white parrot eggs:

quite a shock to go from this to the large, thick, dark-shelled eggs!

I have two lovely little girls 6 months old Black Copper Marans. Beautiful. I can't wait for them to start laying eggs. Im hopping soon. I didn't realize these hens were so saught after. They are so sweet. I have yet to give them names. They get along with my first little girl Pumpkin that is a Buff Orington. I just can't wait to get there eggs. I will post pics once I get some eggs.
