Black Cornish Roo/ White Cornish X Hens

Just purchased some Indian Game(Cornish) mostly black colored roos and hens, if crossed with white cornishx broiler hens, what color would the X
be? New to chicken genetics.

Thanks
They would be solid white at hatch with a few black spots, they will grow to be mostly white.

They may look similar to the White Cornish lines but much fatter

Here is the product of such cross(Dark Cornish x CornishX) I would say that they are very meaty indeed(more than the Red Rangers I've seen)

Dark Cornish are great eating birds all on their own. I cross them for a better rate of gain/faster growing bird. I also like a lighter feathered bird for plucking.
Here are a few of my Dark Cornish/ CX cross birds:

Pure Dark Cornish (4 months)

50% Dark Cornish 50% CX (3 months)

Obtained these dark cornish 2 roos and 6 hens when I bought a new place and inherited them with the chicken house. Don't know if it's a breed standard, but these dark cornish are wild! They fly across the coop in terror when I walk in, and fly pretty good. Seem to be very hardy. Have 15 cornishX chicks, and figure I'll butcher the roosters and save the hens to X with the dark cornish

Sounds like something I would do if I had a Dark Cornish male. my only large Fowl male is a tiny young Barred Rock Cockerel and he is being raised with my current batch of CX. I might move him and a Female CX to my compost heap coop/run and get them to forage on limited feed and breed them. Not as cool as what you are doing with a Dark Cornish but not too far off from it.

When breeding a rooster over a CX, do think the quality of the rooster matters at this point? Since the CX grows big and fast?
Or if you buy a rooster from a breeder, for example, do you think it will increase the chances of a better carcass?

Genetics always matter but breeding any Rooster to CX is going to give you a better Meat bird than that rooster was. For me any large Fowl will do, Its not worth the effort to go searching for the best rooster. What ever Rooster I have on hand will work. What ever rooster I can get free on Craigslist will work for me.
