Black Dots around eyes

Can anyone tell me if these black dots around the eye is normal? I noticed them on my baby Rhode island reds. One chick has a lot, the other has only one or 2. I looked really close to see if they were moving, but they don't seem to be critters. The chick is otherwise happy and healthy.

Welcome to BYC. I haven't seen it before, but if it is on both rims of the eyes, it may be normal pigmentation with these chicks.
