black dry hard dead skin on one foot

She started limping and barely walking, using her wings for balance. She had hard crusty black dead dry skin kinda lumpy on her feet that easily peeled off. i removed it looking for bumble foot injury but I can't find anything. Only healthy looking flesh.

I've used bentadine and triple antibiotic and keeping it wrapped and isolated.

What other reason for dead black dry skin?

Its a normal foot with no apparent injury to the inner foot nor infection in the foot, but the black dead hard skin isn't there. It has triple antiobiotic and a bandage and isolated. everything i read online said bumble foot but I dont see any.

could it have been a cut?
