Black eye?

Hi

I noticed this evening one of my hens has what's appears to be a black eye with some swelling. It was there this morning or obvious at lunch time when popping out to see them. So it came up within 4- 5 hrs potentially.

She's eating and drinking. Acting normal.
No sinus or respiratory problems.
No discharge coming from eye etc?

Is this a simple black eye?
Maybe a peck injury? Although there has never been much aggression demonstrate.

Other side is completely normally.

I that case I would think it to be as a result of a peck.

But you could look into her beak and watch her poop for some days, to make sure that she is not suffering from some kind of internal bleeding, often caused by rat/mice poison.

I can assure you this is the same chicken. They have started to come into lay hence the sudden wattle and comb increase in size and colour. I only three. I know who is who. But thankyou for your help
