Oh I found something the girls went totally crazy for. I cooked a big pot of black eyed peas and cornbread (the thin flat type)....
While I was cooking, the girls were yelling at me (a habit every night when dinner is cooking)...so, I took a small bit of cornbread and mashed it up with a fork and put a few peas on it and mashed it up....then I took it to the girls.
Oh my goodness....6 girls tried climbing into the bowl! They loved it. 2 of them tried talking hubby out of his too. They came to the top of the brooder and out...they walked over to his chair like they owned the house...and yelled at him.
So he told them...give me eggs and I will give you my plate. LOL They are only 5 weeks old.
Raising baby chicks is NEVER dull or boring. At least not in this house.
