Beautiful!!!!!! I LOVE how they shine green!I think she's a mature Cochin hen. If she is a mixed breed she probably has some Australorp in her.The picture is my Cochin Rooster. (didn't really intend for that picture to be in it.)

Tuffy is beautiful! At the end of the day, my girls breed doesn’t change what I think about her - I was just very curious! As I said in the original post, she fit in so well with my existing flock and she is just the sweetest!!View attachment 1695134
Tuffy is a purebred Cochin. His comb is a single comb but not large. I think your hen is a Cochin but with a very small single comb. Or she may be mixed breed.
Thank you for your input!!!The hen in question certainly has some Cochin in her, but I don't think she's pure. Her feet aren't heavily feathered enough, although she's got a great looking head. I can't think of a breed with a body shape that wouldn't alter the Cochin much, but has a different style comb because that doesn't appear to be a single comb. The best I can come up with is that it's possibly crossed to a very well-bred Wyandotte? That would account for the feathering on the legs being lighter than a Cochin should be although it doesn't quite explain the comb. Either way she's a good looking bird.
