Black feathers are turning white?

My 10 month old Ameracuna with a black head is looking old and grey! Any ideas why?

adult feathers that grow in will replace her chick youth feathers. i find every molt, my chickens have new patterns and coloration. especially is they have splotchy colors on their feathers, and not a pure solid color. it just depends on what that feather wants to be that time around. i had a black chicken specked lightly with white, she is now white speckled with black this year. its pretty cool!
