He's gonna grown up to be one of those husband's that always buys his wife a sensible gift.
Wives love those.

One of my favorite presents from my husband has been my cordless vacuum.
But I'm not a rabid feminist, so I wouldn't get offended over something like that.

Bought wife cook pots one year for her birthday.

MIL was ticked. Wife loved them.

Bought her a vacuum the following Christmas.... just to get MIL reaction. Wife loved it too!

Looking back.... not sure she liked the gift, or her mom not speaking to us.

Either way win/win

This next year I finally have enough set aside to buy her a new stove. It's an air tight, high efficiency wood burner. She's been wanting one for 15 years.
