Black growth on comb

ive noticed one of our hens has black growth on its comb. Do I need to do anything? She has recently finished moulting (it’s winter here) and hasn’t resumed laying yet. Otherwise normal behaviour, energy, eating, pooping etc.

In the first photo is just looks like a scab.
The second photo, is there feathers/debris on the scab/growth or is it growing that way?

In the first photo, it looks like a single fowl pox scab, like the only case I have had. But the fuzziness in the close-up is puzzling. So I cannot say if it is a cyst or what. I would watch it to see if it grows.

It appears to be growing that way ... very hard to see without zooming in on a photo though.

So it's growing with fuzz on it? Don't believe I've ever seen anything like that.

Actually I think it was debris ... my daughter pulled the tiny feather off it this morning. So it must have just got stuck in the scab (assuming that’s what it is).

That's good LOL I was getting really curious about that. If it was a scab and no other chickens pick at it, you should see that healing up soon.
