Black headed barred rock chicks

I hate to ask, but...

I just purchased 4 barred rock chicks from tractor supply and am worried my selection process was flawed.

I went for dark all around... I picked the last 4 with no white spot on the heads and dark legs, all we're dark otherwise as well.

Will dark heads be female?

No spot at all indicates no barring genes, which means the would not be barred rock. They could be female black sex links, but photos would help us

They should be female. Females of BPR have darker legs, are darker in fuzz color and have usually a smaller dot. So it sounds like you did a good job.. you can post pictures too that would also help.
