For your chickens, I'm sure they have black lacing, but I think the other color is more red than gold. So I'd call them "Black Laced Red."



A chicken can be both "black laced" and "gold laced" at the same time.

The lacing (edge of the feather) can be black, blue, splash, white, chocolate, or a few other colors.

The center of the feather can be gold, silver, red, or some other colors too.

Blue Laced Red tells both parts: the lacing color (blue) and the other color (red).
I've also seen White Laced Red, and Chocolate Laced Silver, and plenty of other combination.

The common "Gold Laced" and "Silver Laced" could also be called Black Laced Gold and Black Laced Silver-- but when they were named, black was the most common lacing color, and whoever did the naming just didn't bother to mention it.
