in a month or so i'm going to get some new Chines Lang pullets, id love to see everyone's Pictures of their Chinese Langs. It would be great to see everyone's chickens.

i may have sorry, the guy im getting them of is a real chicken expert its quite funny sometimes how much he knows, and he does show birds, he was going to raise me some "chinese Langs" as he called them for me. They are show and laying birds quite large jet black feathers feet but they have quite a destinct facial look, not like all the cochins.. wait ahaha just as i was typing this i found this -----http://www.mcmurrayhatchery.com/black_langshan.html (have a look) this sounds exactly like them. I live in Australia so maby they have a different nick name for them over here.
 
Black Langshans are also from the Asiatic Class of poultry and are a pure breed that originated in China many years ago. These large stunning birds are pure glossy black with bright red combs, dark eyes, and black shanks. Langshans are not as heavily feathered down the legs and toes as Cochins and have a more pronounced upright appearance. Chicks are black with some white on the underside. These are very nice show birds, lay large brown eggs, and are gentle.
