This past week I ended up picking up a beautiful Langshan pullet so replace the Black Austrolorp my husband ordered than ended up being a rooster. This Langshan is from show lines.
I had never looked into Langshans before but oh my gosh! She is calm, curious and smart. She had not been handled before we got her but she comes right to me, will jump up on my arm or lap, is easily picked up and petted. I have had chicks I raised from 1 day old that were less friendly. She will look you right in the eye and has such a calming presence.
