Okay guys, I need some advice. It's day 8 of incubation and upon candling I found one with this black mass that moves as you move the egg around. The mass or "loch ness monster as I'm calling it" doesn't move by its self. It's bigger than a chick should be on day 8. No veins either, just a black chunk. The incubator has a funky smell to it that started a few days ago. This is only my second time incubating and I've never encountered this before, what do I do? Crack it open? Keep incubating Nessy? ideas?

Not the best photo of it, but hopefully this helps.

A normal egg from the same group.

I'd pitch that one, if it were in my incubator. It could be a quitter that's got some rot going on or maybe something bacterial. Either way, it doesn't look as I'd expect it to.

Of course I'd have to open it up to see whats going on with it. Good luck with the rest of your hatch!

Thanks for the help!

I ended up opening it to see what happened, and it was definitely what was causing the smell in my incubator. I didn't look very close because of the smell but it looks like bacteria took over.
Here's a pic
