How old is your white faced black Spanish?? I examined "Puck's" face closely last night and saw that the bluish skin color was spreading out over the sides if his face whereas when he was younger it was just bright turquoise ears. Is that what yours did???

Oh....and is yours a large fowl or a bantam? I was looking at the size and also see that his ear lobes are not all that large. My little hen's comb hasn't really grown anymore than in the photo above. Her ears are blue colored though.

I do see that Cackle only has the WFBS and the Rosecombs both.

Mine has been white no bluish color. They are suppose to be Large Foul but they're to small to be large and way to big to be Bantams, unless they're LargeXBantam, mine are getting bigger earlobes now, They was about 3months or so in the above pic

New pictures taken yesterday. These are the two that I think are a pair of whatever they are:

This is Puck....

And this is Pan...

These were taken on July 31st...
Puck...

Pan...

Puck and Pan only had blue ears July and earlier, but it now appears that the blue is spreading? Both of their earlobes have gotten larger and while not quite as blue as they were, they are a bluish white.

oh....Puck is my roo and Pan is my pullet in case someone can't tell.

with the way the coloring is starting to develop on the face the cockerel is most likely a white faced black Spanish

as for the pullet i would say it is a white faced black Spanish as well due to the fact that cackle doesn't have dutch bantams

It would help if you posted a photo(s). However, it sounds like they are either Black Dutch Bantams or White Faced Black Spanish bantams.

The bluish parts started turning white before I lost them. They were Spanish and oh so sweet. I got another one this year...that was all the local feed store got in their shipment from another popular hatchery but the ones above had much better personalities. I actually sent pics of the roo above to a man that raised and showed Dutch and he told me they were Dutch. They must be very similar!
I sold the one from this year and am going to try bantam Cochins. I have a white frizzle, a mottled buff?, and a silver laced.
Love my d'Uccles the most I guess. Sebrights, too. Got a trio of chamois Sebrights and really like that color. I know how everyone drools over Silkies, but! I have 4 beautiful birds that just Don't have the personality. I keep some to hatch and sell as they go quickly as well as to incubate other eggs.
On another note, my gold neck d'uccle hen laid, incubated 17!!!! eggs this past summer, and hatched Ann's raised 15 chicks...all from that one nest.

Those look Exactly like my WFBS Bantam's. I have 6 10 week olds & 3 12 week olds. You could tell the roos after about a month [they also started crowing super early] My original flock hasn't even hit their first molt yet and the sweet hen has started having a whiter face come in [went from red to bluish like above] I caught her today to put a new tag on her and took an up close picture of her face. These birds take forever to get their white face!! [Sooo tired of people telling me I have Minorcas] I got them back in September. The people who sold them to me said they were 6 months old. So their hatch date is sometime in march [they also started laying with in a week of me getting them]

This is 'Blue'

Baby Roo around 6-7 weeks old

First eggs I hatched [10-29-13] Approx 7-8 weeks old in this picture

All Bantams
