Black OEGB roo...white ear lobes???

That is what I am beginning to believe. It has been identified on here as botn. Dutch when he was much smaller and then OEGB when he was older than that. If it doesn't storm today, I will get some pics of both him and a pullet that I think is the same. His stance just isn't the same as the crele OEGB I have. He is more upright whereas the OEGB holds his tail more downward.
Thundering across the bay so sounds like we are going to get dumped on again!

Flooded pasture from our last rains. The drainage ditches over here couldn't drain the water off fast enough.

I just happened to run across this picture when I was adding our reunion pictures to Facebook and made it my Avatar since I had never added one. That is my little black rooster, His ears were much bluer but are now turning whiter. His comb is both black and sortof red. My granddaughter is 4 1/2. LF Delaware in back.

That picture is pricelesss :)

Where did you get him from? He looks more henish then rooish...

Might be a white faced black spanish , it usually takes longer to mature to get the coloring out on their faces

Oh...guess I should have said that he is 3 months old. He came with a mix of bantams from Cackle. This is a pic of the pullet when she was a bit younger and a picture of him at the same age she was. (The speckles are sand grains). She didn't have any ear lobes but hers now have grown a bit and are the same color so I am assuming they are a pair. He is the sewwtest, tamest bird I have. He just decided one day that he was going to be the favorite and hopped up on my arm while I was cleaning the chick pen. He was out with the bigger chicks then. I pet him in my lap and he sleeps. Naturally he was the favorite of my 3 oldest grandchildren ages 9, 7, and 4 1/2. The 3 month old will of course love him too!! LOL!
I don't think White-faced Black Spanish...I would think at 3 months he would show some whitening skin there where his is reddish on the face.

Wouldn't be surprised if it was a hatchery quality Black Rose-comb with a single comb. It could be a Black Dutch as well though I don't know of a hatchery that sells them.
