Black on face

Hi I have Issa Brown 2 year old chickens. I have recently noticed parts of their faces have black on them. Any idea what this may be. We have gone through heat wave recently. Thanks for your time and consideration.

Could you possibly post any pictures? It could be peck wounds or damage from fencing from running into them, or other causes.
