so he had a staph infection in both of his feet I took him to the vet they gave me some medicine 💉 and some spray but now this showed up on the top of his left foot what is it and what can I do for him? The second picture is what it looks like underneath the black stuff

It looks like it could be another variation of bumblefoot, possibly? I haven't seen a scab quite like that on the top of a foot before, but the bit underneath does look like what I've seen in bumblefoot before and I've definitely seen the infection on the top of the feet before.

I would soak it in warm water with Epsom salts for 15-20 minutes and attempt to remove the scab. If it doesn't come off right away, it may need a few soaks. If it does come off, I usually keep soaking for a few days to make sure that there is no infection left.

Have you asked your vet about the blackened tissue?

If the blackened area is from necrosis similiar to frostbite, you do Not want to remove the dead tissue, since it provides protection from infection as the healthy tissue underneath heals. If the blackened area is covering a staph infection such as in bumblefoot, you Do want to soak the foot in Epsom salts and remove the scabs. @Eggcessive , @azygous , @coach723 , what is most likely going on here?

His tissue is dieing from the infection most likely.. not sure what you can do, also if it’s cold where you live may be frost bite.
His inside the house so it can't be frost bite but it's also flaking off in some places ware it just looks like a scab fell off so I'm confused

Yah I have been soaking his feet in Epsom salt and it has started falling off in certain spots underneath ware it falls off looks fine. He's such a sweet boy and makes it easy because he kinda just let's me do whatever I want or need to. Party why I'm so attached to him

My guess is that area was infection, the tissue died off and is slowly being shed. The pink underneath looks like healthy new tissue, though that view is a bit blurry. I would let them fall off on their own rather than try to remove them, as long as there are no signs of any infection. That new tissue is tender, so like a scab, it's being protected somewhat by whats covering it. Once it's all off, scales may or may not grow back to cover that area on the foot, depending on the damage. I would just keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't get reinjured.
